Why we built this
There is a large and permanent gap between the diseases medicine could address and the ones it is funded to address. A good part of that gap can be closed with molecules that already exist.
Our position
Repurposing is not a new idea. What has been missing is a way to search the space systematically, at a cost that makes sense for conditions no developer will fund, and with enough honesty about uncertainty that a research team can act on the result.
That is the whole company. We narrow a search too large to run into a list a laboratory can work through, and we are explicit about what that list is and is not.
Where we are
Biofacta is pre-launch. We are building the molecule corpus, the provenance layer and the regional availability data now, and training the model head the variant-effect step needs. Rather than describe that progress in the abstract, the walkthrough marks the status of every stage in the workflow.
